One of it's button eyes is missing
There's a cat that eats my songs
and rips up my important papers
Scratches me all night long
- doing his best to make me feel better
I've been trying to avoid attention
- they're looking in my direction
They're sneaking an innocent peek in
like getting stabbed with an icicle
The little dog pees on my knees
and interrupts the dinner things
I've been pouting about it all week
never thought I might feel so beleaguered
I just wanted to get my haircut
but the shop is shut and I'm all mussed up
